Donna Louise Yarina

YARINA – Donna Louise, 76, of Johnstown died June 4, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 3, 1944, in Johnstown the daughter of Charles and Mary (Machik) Yarina. Preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Geraldine Yarina; infant niece, Grace Elizabeth and infant nephew, John. She is survived by her brother, John Yarina; beloved cousins: Eleanor Miller and Jenny Wilkinson, who were more than family, they were true friends; along with cousins, Dolores Zuder, Helen Penkosky, Bobby, Mary and Bill. Also survived by John’s sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Mary.  Donna was a member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral where she was involved in: Girl Scouts, the Choir, Jr. ACRY, Past President of the Sr. ACRY, the Caretaker of the National ACRY Archives, and President of the Educational Center. She was a former employee of Schrader’s Greenhouse and retired from the Greater Johnstown School District after 37 years of service as a secretary.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where Panachida will be held at 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak. Committal will be held at the Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Randy Meyers and Richard Kenzie who helped in Donna’s time of need and the doctors and nurses at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center that cared for Donna in her last days.
