Donna Jean (Piljay) Zizan

ZIZAN- Donna Jean, was called to Heaven on March 21, 2023.  She was the loving wife of John Zizan who passed away in 2013.  At the time of his death they celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Donna was born in Johnstown on August 8, 1937, to Joseph and Amelia (Furnari) Piljay who preceded her in death.  She is survived by brothers Ronald (Susan) Piljay and Joseph Michael Piljay and special niece Kristin Piljay and special Aunt Florence (Furnari) Jedrzejek.

Donna's faith and church were very important to her and she lived her life accordingly.  She was a member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral, the Cathedral Choir and Cathedral Seniors.  She was active for many years in the Cathedral and Educational Center functions.

Donna is survived by many caring cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is survived by a family of friends, neighbors and church members who were important and helpful to her in her recent timeframe of life.  Donna had a better life with them in it.  She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.  

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, 710 Broad Street, Johnstown, Pa. The Very Rev. Robert Buczak will hold Panachida at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home. There will be a brief service at 9:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 10 AM at Christ the Saviour Cathedral with the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert Buczak. Committal to follow at Christ the Saviour Cemetery on Benshoff Hill Road.  A special thank you to the staff at Allegheny General Hospital who treated Donna with loving care.
