Dorothy A. (Kuzniar) Furnari

FURNARI – Dorothy A., 89, of Johnstown died December 17, 2020, at LaurelWood Care Center. Born December 28, 1930, in Johnstown the daughter of Thomas and Carrie (Slezak) Kuzniar. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Furnari; sister, Mary Jane, Kuzniar; and son-in-law, Cletus Messer.  She is survived by her children: Judith Ann, wife of Eugene S. Gonda; Joanne Messer; and Frank T. Furnari, all of Johnstown; brothers: Thomas Kuzniar, FL; and sisters, Josephine, wife of Andrew Gonda; and Kathleen, wife of Edward Miller, both of Johnstown. Dorothy was a member of the former Ss Casimir and Emerich and currently a member of Resurrection Parish. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Ellenberger for all the years of care he gave to Dorothy.  A special thank you to the staff of LaurelWood care center and the staff of Grane Hospice, especially Lee Ann, for the loving care they proved Dorothy during her time there. At the request of the family a private funeral service will be held at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
