Dorothy K. Gaydos

GAYDOS - Dorothy, 89; Fairfax, VA; formerly of Johnstown, passed away January 22, 2022 at home.  Born May 7, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Victoria (Urbanski) Krivatch.  Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Nancy Gaydos; husband, Joseph N. Gaydos;   her sisters, Marion Babal, Frances Ruppen and Margaret J. Esposito; and brother, John Krivatch.  Survived by daughter, Sally Ann Gaydos, Ebensburg, PA; son, Kevin J. Gaydos married to Gayle Baker-Gaydos, of West Grove, PA; and grandson, Alexander F. Gaydos of Littleton, CO.   Dorothy was a retired bookkeeper.  Dorothy was a founding member and the first President of the Ladies Guild at Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Annandale, VA.  She was a past member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Johnstown, where Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street.  Masks are required at both the service and funeral.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Hospital of choice, in memory of Dorothy Gaydos.  Condolences may be sent at fgozogfuneralhome.com
