POPIG - Dorothy A., 94; Geistown Boro. passed away November 28, 2019 at Windber Hospital. Born January 27, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Matthew and Anna (Dlugos) Churilla. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Albert R. Popig; sisters, Barbara and Marie Churilla, and Pauline Bodnar; and brothers, George and John Churilla. Survived by daughter, Dorraine Popig, Geistown Boro.; son, Daryl Popig and his wife, Marilyn of Columbus, OH; and granddaughters, Rachel E. and Sarah M. Popig. A sister of Hilda Stigalt and husband John of Parma, OH; and Michael Churilla of St. Leonard, MD. Retired LPN from Mercy Hospital. A member of the Johnstown Coin Club, and the former Flood City Jim Beam Bottle Club. Private Services held at the convenience of the family. Committal was held at Grandview Mausoleum.
