THOMAS - Dorothy Marie, 70; Johnstown, passed away on November 12, 2024. Born January 25, 1954 in Johnstown, daughter of Clifford E. and Bertha (Hritz) Sharp.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Richard E. “Richie” Thomas; brother, Clifford Sharp; sisters, Denise Sharp and Rosemary Franco; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Lois Thomas; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Norma; and brother-in-law, Tommy.  She is survived by her loving husband, Richard L. “Bub” Thomas; and daughters, Rebecca Baldwin and husband Sean, Virginia; and Carrie Aurit, Johnstown.  She was “Gigi” to her beloved grandchildren; Marlee (Dan), Alaina, Meghan (Michael), Donavon, and Alexis; and great grandchildren; Avrielle, Caydin, Danny, Brielle, Givanni, Dillon, Haisley, Dakoda, and Charlotte.  A sister of Donald Sharp (Beth) and Joyce Sharp; sisters-in-law, Rhonda (Bob) and Rita (Glenn); and brothers-in-law, Jerry (Michelle), Donny (Kim), Zeke (Chrissy) and Ira; and many nieces and nephews.  A graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, Class of 1971.  Dorothy was a longtime employee for the Fashion Bug Store in Johnstown; she was office assistant for her husband “Bub”.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star; The Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 155; and a devoted and faithful member of Albright United Methodist Church, where she served on many boards and groups within the faith community, including the Staff Parish Relations Committee .  Dorothy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed; cooking, trips to the casino’s, restaurant dinners with her husband, and was a "Professional Shopper". She enjoyed singing and dancing as well. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Friends received on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., the following Saturday, November 23rd at Albright United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Weaver. Committal will follow at Grandview Mausoleum.  Memorial donations may be made to the Richie Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund in her memory. Condolences may be sent at fgozogfuneralhome.com
