VATAVUK—Edward R. “Little Ed”, 64; Johnstown, passed away April 30, 2020 at Conemaugh Hospital. Born April 16, 1956 in Johnstown, son of Edward “Big Ed” and Adeline “Abby” (Chovanec) Vatavuk. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by siblings, Gloria Vatavuk, Cynthia Vatavuk, both of Johnstown; Christina Nelson and husband, Robert, Lakeland, FL; Cecelia Casey and husband, Jeffrey, Montvale, VA; Amelia Vatavuk, Robert Vatavuk and wife Nadine (Dressick), and Mark Vatavuk, all of Johnstown. Also survived by 12 loving nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces. A member of the IBT Local 110 Teamsters, working with Quaker Sales. He retired from Vatavuk Coal Co., his family’s business. A member of the Johnstown Ski Club and the International Polka Association. He was an accomplished ball room dancer and enjoyed music, puzzles, sports, and classic cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his neighbors at Graystone Court Villas. A lifelong member of Resurrection Parish. Due to coronavirus and regulations, private services will be held for family. Committal will take place at St. Stephen Cemetery. Arrangements by Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society P.O.
