Edward Richard Wysocki

WYSOCKI – Edward Richard “Beaver”, 96, of Johnstown, died June 18, 2024, at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Altoona. Born April 3, 1928, in Nanticoke, PA, the son of Leo, Sr. and Victoria (Retel) Wysocki. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine (Pavlik) Wysocki; granddaughter, Jennifer Wysocki; brother Leo Wysocki, Jr.; and sister, Bernadine Duda. Survived by his sons: Edward M., Manassas, VA; and James G., Watkins Glen, NY; and grandchildren: Christine, Conlin, Josiah, and Melanie. Edward was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War; the former Post Commander of the Catholic War Vets Post #954; a baseball coach and former assistant manager in the Greater Johnstown Junior League. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum with Military Honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to either Resurrection Catholic Church, 408 8th Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15906 or Heritage Ridge Senior Living, 807 Goucher Street, Johnstown, PA 15905, in memory of Mr. Wysocki.
