Elizabeth Gorentz Obituary

GORENTZ - Elizabeth “Betty”, 94; Verona, PA formerly of Johnstown, passed away on December 7, 2021 at Seneca Hills Village.  Born December 6, 1927 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Helen (Pastorek) Nosko.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Joseph, Emil and Stephen; sisters, Mary, Anna, Catherine and Margaret.  Married 72 years to her best friend, William “Bill” Gorentz, whom preceded her on December 2nd of 2020. She is survived by sister, Eleanor Mele; daughter, Gloria (Rodney) Haupt; son, Daniel (Deborah) Gorentz; five grandchildren, Nathan Haupt, Shawn Haupt, Bethany (Haupt) Miller; Melissa (Gorentz) Whalen; Melinda (Gorentz) Cornish; and six great granddaughters, Hailey and Mia Whalen; Adleigh and Ava Haupt; Katie and Leah Miller.  Betty worked for Bestform Industries for 22 years. She was an avid baker and home maker, no one ever left without a gift of cookies.  Always faithful, optimistic, enjoyed her many friends playing cards, bowling, BINGO, casino bus trips and dancing. A member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where private Mass will be held by Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, OFM. Early on Saturday December 11, 2021. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.  She will be sadly missed by all. She will be in heaven dancing with the Love of her Life.  Arrangements by Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc.
