Elizabeth "Betsy" Konar

KONAR (Sestrich) - Elizabeth A. “Betsy”, 65; of Johnstown, went to meet the Lord on April 21, 2026.  Born December 24, 1960 in Johnstown, daughter of Anthony Sr. and Betty (Hodos) Sestrich.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Bill Konar, and brother, Robert Sestrich.  Survived by son, Joshua Konar of Johnstown; granddaughter, Isabella; brother, Anthony and wife Audrey (Erb), of Johnstown; and her life long companion John Plummer of Johnstown.  Betsy was also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.  She was a graduate of Bishop McCort High School.  Retired employee for the Tribune Democrat.  A member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #5. She was a life long Steeler fan, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing in her younger years.  Betsy is a member of Resurrection Parish in Cambria City, where Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2026, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will follow at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
