Elizabeth V. Vrabel

VRABEL - Elizabeth V., 86; Southmont Boro., passed away May 29, 2020 at Conemaugh Hospital.  Born December 14, 1933 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael A. Sr. and Susan (Jakubak) Samo. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Bernard F. Vrabel; son-in-law, Jason Pearson; brothers, Paul Samo, Michael Samo Jr., John Samo and sisters, Anna Rosensteel and Mary Bruene.  Survived by brother, Stephen and wife Penny (Fischer) Samo of California, and loving children, Carol married to Dennis Fuge, Mark Vrabel married to Jean (Munzer), and Brenda Pearson, all of Johnstown; and Thomas Vrabel and wife Teena (Maahs) of Arizona.  Also survived by grandchildren, Ryan Fuge, Zachory Vrabel, Sarah Vrabel, Abigail Pearson and Allison Pearson.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Betty was a retired certified nurses aid at the Presbyterian Home. She a was very active volunteer for the St. Clement Food Pantry. Betty loved spending winters in Arizona with Tom and Teena. A member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where Funeral Mass will be held. the Rev. William Rosenbaum. Committal Grandview Cemetery.  Although Social distancing protocols and precautions are still enforced, friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Francis G.
