Elsie L. (Pudliner) Kapcsos

KAPCSOS – Elsie L., 85, of Johnstown, died June 26, 2021, at Windber Woods Care Center. Born October 16, 1935, in Johnstown the daughter of Charles and Anna (Forish) Pudliner. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rosemarie Kapcsos; brothers, Charles, John and Edward Pudliner; and sister, Anna Macy. Survived by her sons, Ronald, married to Tina (Devine) Kapcsos; and Joseph, married to Janice (Buday) Kapcsos; grandchildren, Ron Jr. (Kathy) Kapcsos, and Scott (Dana) Kapcsos; great-grandchildren, Noah, Cody, Sierra, and Olivia; and brothers, Frank and Andy Pudliner. Elsie was a member of Resurrection Parish where she was involved in fundraising through the years. She also volunteered at St. Therese’s Festival. She was employed at Grand Cleaners and retired from Troy Laundry after they closed. After she retired, Elsie loved to iron clothes as a pastime. Elsie enjoyed cooking for her family and friends making “pigs”, stew and spaghetti among other dishes. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc. 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held 12 noon Wednesday at Resurrection Parish, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
