Eugene "Gene" Lynch

LYNCH - Eugene T. “Gene”, Jr., 91; Johnstown., passed away October 28, 2020 at home.  Born March 11, 1929 in Johnstown; son of Eugene T. Sr. and Greta (Strausbaugh) Lynch.  Last survivor of his immediate family.  Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Mary Jean Lynch; grandson, Adam Lynch; sisters, Irene, Maye, Marie, Erdene, Alene, Virginia, Betty and Phyllis; and brother, Robert. Survived by loving wife, of 65 years, Mary C. (Cassidy) Lynch, of Johnstown and these children, Eugene F. (Patti), Pittsburgh; Craig (Donna), New Jersey; Thomas (Sharon), Michigan; Marie Harper (Ty), Virginia; Jeffrey (Christa), Pittsburgh; Mara Arrieta (Fred), Virginia; David (Erin), Johnstown.  Also survived by 23 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  Retired Assistant Supervisor for Airco Industries.  Friends received Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Jack Rupert. Committal will follow at Grandview Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Day Inc. or to Interim Hospice in memory of Gene Lynch.
