Eugene Thomas Sprangle

SPRANGLE – Eugene Thomas Sprangle passed on December 12, 2023. Eugene was born October 20, 1975 to Cornelius and Mary Sprangle. He grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lincoln Tech in 1996. Eugene was a staple for the youth in this community for his successful football coaching career at the youth and middle school level. An entire generation of Johnstown football players will owe their success on and off the field to “Coach Eugene.” He is survived by his four sons, Jamal Sprangle, Jabez Sprangle, Jerrell Hardison, and Jesaiah Wilson as well as his grandson, Jalen Sprangle, parents Cornelius and Mary Sprangle, and brothers, Damion and Eddie Sprangle and Mike Ellis. Friends will be received at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street, Friday December 15th from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Clyde Williams, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
