BURDA – Eva, 87, of Armagh, died July 12, 2023, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born March 4, 1936, in Dilltown, PA the daughter of Reu and Josie (Crawford) Silbaugh. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew D. Burda; grandson, Adam Burda; brothers: Donald, William, and Reu Silbaugh; sisters: Ella Walker, Dorothy Burkett, Betty Wolfe, Rella Yoder, Mary Comstock; and Fay Kelley; and her pet, Roxy. She is survived by her children: Daniel, Sr., married to Barbara (Glessner) Burda; Deborah Burda and boyfriend Ronald Gorman; and Mark Burda; grandson, Daniel Burda, Jr.; great-grandson, Cole Burda; and brothers Jim and Lester Silbaugh. She will be greatly missed by her loving caregivers Flo, JoAnn and Sharon. Eva was an amazing cook. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and the Ladies Auxiliary of Armagh where Eva and Erma made the best Pizza!! She loved to go to the casinos and play bingo. A member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she was active helping with the folk festival. She was, above all, the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Kindness was her greatest asset. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with a visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service, Rev. Kyle Mullins officiating. Interment will be held at Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 711 Chestnut Street, Johnstown, PA 15906, in memory of Eva.
