DOMEN- Eva Embry (Rose) “Sadie”, 94, of Johnstown, passed away February 15, 2025, in Baltimore Maryland. Born December 24,1930, in Johnstown, daughter of Thomas D. and Goldie M. (King) Rose. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank Domen; brothers, Charles Rose, Alfred Rose, Robert Rose, and Thomas Rose; and sisters, Betty Hropovich, Jean Trohanowsky, and Dorothy Driscoll. Survived by loving children, Robert T. Dempsey of Battle Creek Michigan, Richard J. Dempsey Jr. of Portage Indiana, and Frederick J. Dempsey of Dundalk Maryland who is married to Patti Dempsey of Baltimore Maryland; and stepson, Ronald Domen of Radford Virginia. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was employed by Penn Traffic Co. in Johnstown as a hairdresser for many years. Eva had many skills and interests such as: She was an excellent seamstress and tailor, she also created and designed wedding cakes, she attended and graduated Clown school in Tampa Florida and belonged to “Classic Clown” in Florida and Johnstown where she was known as “Wilda the Magic Clown”. Her talents included her artistic skills as she was an accomplished water color artist, oil, pastel and acrylic artist. She taught painting classes in Florida. When her 3 boys were youngsters she was very active in Cub Scouts. She was a Den Mother of Cub Pack 183 in Johnstowns West End for 10 years. For many years she belonged to the Richland Square and Round Dance Club in Johnstown. Eva is a member at St. Clement Catholic Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., where a rosary service will be held in the evening. A funeral mass for the respose of her soul will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, Rev. William Rosenbaum. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
