Eva M. Stahr-Kessler

STAHR-KESSLER - Eva M., 89; Johnstown, passed away on May 3, 2021 at the McCulloch Place.  Born September 10, 1931 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Daughter of Eustace and Margaret  MacEachern.  Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Robert Stahr Jr., and Herbert Kessler; children, Rita and Robert Stahr in infancy, and Mark Kessler (Judy); and brother, Ronald MacEachern. Survived by children, James Stahr (Debbie) Chesapeake, VA; Richard Scott Stahr (Cyndi) Hollywood, MD; Mary Christ (Walter Jr.) Sidman, PA; Margaret “Peggy” Stahr, Johnstown, PA; Denise Moore (Jeffery) St. Augustine, FL; Stephen Stahr (Jeanette) Johnstown, PA; Timothy Stahr Orlando, FL; Catherine Kessler, Daniel Kessler, Eugene Kessler (Marlene), David Kessler (Chris), Paul Kessler (Sally) James Kessler (Carol), Margaret Benza (Raymond), Robert Kessler (Laurie), Mary Frankhauser (Joseph), and Karen Blaisdell (Michael).  Also survived by 35 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  A sister of Mary Ray (John) Cape Cod, MA; Cecelia Grant (Richard), Anne MacPherson, Jackie MacEachern (Heather), Gerard MacEachern (Velma), Daniel MacEachern, and Betty Farrell (Kenny), all of Nova Scotia, Canada.  Proud member of the Scottish Heritage Society and member of St. Gregory Catholic Church (Daisytown), where Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday the Rev. Callisyus Elue. Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Geistown.  Friends received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCullough Place “Residence Fund”, in memory of Eva Stahr-Kessler.
