HARCHICK – Florence Josephine, 95, of Johnstown, died April 10, 2025, in the comfort of her home with loving son Richard. Born February 28, 1930, in Windber, she is the daughter of John Barzensky, Stanley and Lottie (Chubski) Ciupak. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Stephen Harchick Jr.; sisters, Grace Lee, Mary Passano, Julia Guido, and Gladys DiTullo; brothers, Andrew and George Ciupak; special aunt and uncles, Virginia (Barzensky) Partsch, Michael “Mac” and Philip Barzensky. Survived by her loving children, Theodore J. (Beverly Allen), Michael A. (Susette Swanger), and Richard P.; grandchildren, Lindsay, Jason, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason; sisters, Gloria Kempisty and Loretta Ciupak; brother, Victor Ciupak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a loving, caring, and strong woman who took pride in caring for her family, local community and church community. She enjoyed swim aerobics at the YWCA, playing bingo, and cooking delicious Polish food for her family. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephens/Resurrection Parish and was a member of the Ladies Guild. Florence was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by many. Friends will be received Monday, April 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
