Francis Frear Obituary

Francis Frear, 78, a 55-year resident of the little village of Echo near Mineral Point, died while fishing and enjoying his favorite past-time, on June 9, 2020. Fran's loving kindness touched all who loved and knew him. This was a man who brought his wife tea every morning and said, "Served with a kiss." This was a man who relished in his grandchildren's escapades (and to be honest, delighted in creating those crazy moments with them!) This was a man who was proud to go to work every day. This was a man who loved his family unconditionally. This was a man who told everyone he was an Irish-American. This was a man who loved babies. This was a man who loved God.  This was a man who cherished his friendships. This was a man who honored his wife, Susan, with a deep abiding love.  Fran was a dear son of Andrew and Catherine (Mekazik) Frear, born November 6, 1941.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Marie Kasay, Catherine Thomas, Anna Kegg, Edward Frear, Clara (Mickey) Burnheimer, Rita Pfeil and his dear twin brother, Andrew Frear. No one will miss him more than his beloved "Susie Girl," together for 30 years. He is survived by his absolutely cherished children, Adrienne (Michael) Berardi, Danielle (Paul) Gleason, and Francis (Jennifer) Frear. Also survived by his grateful stepchildren, Scott Freeman, Kelly (Gene) Zimmerman, and Ryan Freeman. Pappy will be missed forever by his much-loved grandchildren: Anthony Berardi, Dominic Berardi, Charlie Frear, Kaylyn Frear, Rylan Date, Ollie Freeman, and Jonah Freeman.  Also survived by sisters: Patricia Lovejoy, Rosamond Pacsai, and Loretta Meyers.  Friends will be received Sunday, June 14, 2020, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, and at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner at 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Celebration of Life service at 10:00 a.m., (masks required) on Monday, June 15, 2020. Committal Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Fran would like donations sent to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church c/o the Francis Frear Memorial Fund.  What a wonderful world you gave us, Fran!  Condolences may be sent at fgozogfuneralhome.com
