Obituary

BUKSA – George Albert, 87, of Jackson Township, died February 6, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born March 10 1933, in Johnstown the son of George and Margaret (Pazin) Buksa. Preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Irma (Coleman) Buksa; infant brother, Joseph; and sisters, Virginia and Rose. He is survived by his three sons: Raymond Buksa; Gary (Debra) Buksa; and Jeffrey (Gretchen) Buksa; grandchildren: Courtney, wife of William Evans; Candace, wife of Seth Bernat; Brianna Buksa; Joseph Buksa; and Keira Buksa; great- grandchildren: Cameron, Maverick, Wilkin, and Layla; and sisters: Mary Louise and Marleen. George was a US Army Veteran of the Korean war and was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he worked in the steam plant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc. 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, Pastor Dwayne Kauffman officiating. The viewing hour from 2-3 p.m. are reserved for those individuals who are at high risk for COVID. Interment will take place at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
