George W. Zubal

ZUBAL – George W., 79, of Johnstown died July 22, 2018, at James Van Zandt Medical Center, Altoona. Born March 26, 1939, in Johnstown the son of George and Emma (Kovalchick) Zubal. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Emma J. Zubal; brother, Edward Zubal; and brother-in-law, Thomas Gojmerac. Survived by sister, Florence Gojmerac; brother, James, married to Ilona (Stoyka) Zubal, of Johnstown; niece, Elaine (Gojmerac), married to Thomas Seigh, and their children, Ben, Jacob, Joseph, Aaron and Rebecca; and nephew, Lawrence, married to Susan (Harbaugh) Gojmerac, and their children, Stacey, Kimberly, married to Ryan Dengler and Michael and fiancée, Andrea Prescott and their son Bentley. He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Friends received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where Parastas will be held at 8 p.m.  Funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Monsignor Raymond Balta. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
