VENGLARCHIK – Helen “Honey”, 95, of Johnstown, died December 21, 2019. Born March 8, 1924, in Johnstown the daughter of the late George and Maria Anne (Bartko) Venglarchik, Sr. Preceded in death by brother, George (Mary Fabry) Venglarchik, Jr.; sisters, Mary (John Winogrodski, Sr.); Ann (Jacob Hayostek, Jr.); and uncle, Andrew Bartko. Survived by nephews and nieces: Tom Hayostek, married to Cindy Lloyd; Kathleen, married to Sam Hanners; Georgeann, married to Gary Jakovcic; James Hayostek; and Janice, Mary Ann, Francine, Cyndy and George. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews, neighbors and great-great nieces and nephews. Honey enjoyed duck pin bowling, dancing, making rag rugs, gardening, embroidery and helping at all events at the former St. Stephen’s Church. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Slovak Catholic Church and current member of Resurrection Parish; former employee of Cay Artley, Turner Hall, JayRex/REMMCO Plumbing and Heating; an auxiliary member of former Turners Ladies, Slovak Band Hall, Cambria City Community, and St. Stephen’s Ladies guild. Honey had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please remember her by praying the Rosary. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
