Helen A. Yuhas

YUHAS—Helen A., 89; Johnstown, passed away December 9, 2019 at the Lutheran Home of Johnstown.  Born January 22, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of John G. and Mary (Pavlick) Novak.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert E. Yuhas; brothers, William and Joseph Novak, sister Margaret (Novak) Rzasa; and in-laws, Ron Yuhas, Fred Rzasa, Louise Yuhas, Steve and Betty Jane Gojmerac.  Survived by loving children, Barbara, wife of Fred Oliveros, Elizabeth, wife of Ed Pryor, Robert Yuhas, John Yuhas, Emery Yuhas; grandchildren, Fred and Liz Oliveros, Frank and Amy Oliveros, Ian Oliveros, Amy and Bob Knapp, Eddie and Marcie Pryor, Elizabeth Saylor, Carol Yuhas, Bob and Stephanie Yuhas; and great grandchildren, Devon Kinter and fiancée Lisa Vatavuk, Madeleine Oliveros, Nadia Oliveros, Evalienna Pryor, Jack Pryor, Kennedy Knapp, Audrey Yuhas, and Dominic Stephens.  Also survived by brother John Novak and wife Julia Novak; sisters-in-law, Kathie Novak, Joanne Yuhas; brother-in-law, Richard and wife Mildred Yuhas; numerous Godchildren, nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Frank Thomas and Ramona Lalka, Marie and Dave Smith, all of Pittsburgh; and grandma’s loving, favorite PIA, Penny Collins and special friend, Pat Brylski.  Helen enjoyed BINGO, visiting the casinos, listening to polka music and polka dancing.  A member of St. John Gaulbert Cathedral, where Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, the Very Rev. James F. Crookston.  Committal will take place at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.  Friends received Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G.
