Irene R. Marinkovich

MARINKOVICH – Irene R., 70, of Johnstown, died July 13, 2021, at her home. Born September 16, 1950, in Johnstown the daughter of Petar and Andjelija (Buchan) Marinkovich. Preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Gary, married to Rosemarie (Holbay) Marinkovich; niece, Kristina Marinkovich; and numerous cousins. Irene was a 1968 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1973 graduate of the Indiana School of Nursing. She was a nurse with the Conemaugh Health System and retired after 33 years of service working in Patient Relations. She was a member of St. Petka and St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church where she was a member of the Circle of Serbian Sisters. She was also an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where Pomen will be held at 7 p.m.  A brief service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Very Rev. Presbyter Dragan Vuckovic. Committal will be held at St. Petka Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be directed to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in memory of Irene Marinkovich.
