BARONI – James T., 68, of Riverside, passed away at home on January 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born April 30, 1957, in Johnstown, the son of Eugene T. Sr. and Margie M. (Sabo) Baroni. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Rev. Barry J. Baroni; and infant sister, Mary Jean. Survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Gorzelsky); son, Skyler William Baroni; brothers, Eugene T. Jr. (Stephanie) Baroni and John Baroni; sisters-in-law, Christine (Barry) Harshberger, and Yvonne Newman; brothers-in-law, William (Debbie) Gorzelsky Jr., and Barry Gorzelsky; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved puppies, Piper and Remi; and special friends, Jason Hayver, Greg Balamuta, Nancy and Paul Fox, and Marsha and Dave Strushensky. James was a proud United States Army Veteran. James spent his career working at Penelec until his retirement as a Transformer Repair Man. James was an avid chess player. He loved going hunting, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, watching jeopardy, finding new recipes, and cooking. He also enjoyed listening to oldies’ music, his Corvette, and was the biggest jokester you could ever meet. James absolutely adored his wife, son, and his puppies; they were his whole world. James was also proud of his Thriller Novel “The Legend of Rachel Petersen” that he wrote and published with the help of his son, Skyler. James was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. He will truly be missed by many. Private services will be held at the request of James. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery on January 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Robert Wolf.
