PAROS – James B. “Mug-Z”, 61, of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Johnstown, passed away October 22, 2025. Born September 9, 1964, in Johnstown, the son of Francis J. and Carolyn (Voytas) Paros, who preceded him in death. Survived by his loving siblings, John F. (Debra Hrabosky), Francis M. (Marilee Webb), Daniel T. (Pamela Mikolic), Carole F. Larry (Daniel), Joseph M., and Debra M. Flori (Joseph); numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. James attended West End Catholic until 8th grade, going on to graduate from Greater Johnstown Area Vocational-Technical High School in 1982. In 1988, James moved to Florida in search of employment, where he founded and owned Catalina Concrete. James was also an extremely skilled finished carpenter. James loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was exceptionally skilled at cooking, especially his BBQ. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. James was an animal lover and was known for taking in strays. His love and compassion didn’t stop there; he has a very generous and giving SPIRIT, and he could also be found helping those in his community whenever he could, especially the Veterans. James was a hard worker, funny, the life of the party, and truly had a heart of gold. James will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received Friday, October 31, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral mass will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. David S. Peles. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.
