James Zimmerman Obituary

ZIMMERMAN – James A., 75, of Johnstown died August 30, 2021, at his residence. Born November 13, 1945, in Johnstown the son of Russell and Ella (Dezelon) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Ada Helen. Survived by his loving children: Brian, married to Amy (Casteel) Zimmerman; Shannon, wife of Todd Woznick; and Alan Zimmerman; grandchildren: Oliver and Chase Woznick; and Gabe, Ava, and Emma Zimmerman; brother, William, married to Patricia (Beblar) Zimmerman; and special friend, Monica Wilson. Jim was a US National Guard Veteran, member of Unter Uns German Club, Altoona and a 32nd degree Freemason. He was a retired police officer from the city of Johnstown and a partner with his son, Brian at Autobahn Sales and Services. Jim never stopped working. He loved to paint cars and spend time on the beach in Aruba. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be held at Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963. The family is being served by the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc.
