KNAPP – Janet L., 84, of Johnstown, died April 8, 2025, at Heritage Ridge surrounded by her loving family. Born May 19, 1940, in Johnstown, she is the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Spinda) Barczak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Donald Knapp; and brother, Ronald Barczak. Survived by children, Joseph (Melinda) Knapp, Mary Beth (Barry) Rosko, and Kristine (Stephen) Kosnosky; grandchildren, Jordan Kohler, Alyssa Kohler, and Eva Knapp; sisters, Carol Maleniak, Dorothy Radnoti, and Donna Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janet worked for many years at Best Form and later went on to work as a Secretary for the Johnstown Housing Authority. She enjoyed spending her time playing solitaire and completing word searches. Janet also known as JJ to her sisters, was a loving and kind woman. She was a lifelong member at St. Stephens/Resurrection Parish. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Conemaugh Regional Hospice, especially Beth, for taking such great care of Janet over these last few months. Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Rev. Anthony F. Spilka FF OFM C. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
