Jason Andrew Burkhart

BURKHART – Jason Andrew, 51, of Johnstown, passed away October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born February 25, 1974, in Johnstown, the son of Alan D. Burkhart (Deb) and Donna Scarff (Bob). Survived by his loving children, Jackson Burkhart, Jada Burkhart, and Jaylin Burkhart; parents; siblings, Jenna Burkhart (Steve), Alan Burkhart, Laura Gorham, Cliff Scarff (Dorothy), Elizabeth Scarff, Tim Scarff, Jacklyn Scarff, Rebecca Custer (Walter), and Nathan Scarff; and nieces and nephews, Easton, Ella, Aden, Elayna, Karen, Sammy, Emma, James, Ethan, and Avery. Jason was employed with North American Hoganas and was a part of the Steel Workers Union. He was a loving family man who adored his children. He loved spending time with family and friends. Jason was also an avid sports fan. In 2024, Jason was inducted into the Laurel Valley Hall of Fame for his record as the rushing yards leader in 1992. Jason was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received on October 19, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. The family would like to especially thank North American Hoganas and the Steel Workers Union for their support, as well as Windber Hospice for their loving care.
