HESSINGER—Jean M., 89; Johnstown, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at the home of her niece Laurie Lindrose and family, Eric, Oliver, Jonathan and Tucker, on February 15, 2020. Born September 5, 1930 in Johnstown; daughter of George and Margaret (Wavrek) Bresnicky. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Chuck Hessinger; sisters, Mary J. Zupan, her twin sister, and Georgeanne Lang; and brothers, Raymond, Ronald and James Bresnicky. Last survivor of her immediate family. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jean grew up in the West End and moved to Osborne Street. A graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School Class of 1948 and St. Francis College. Former Sister of St. Joseph, teaching at Bishop Carroll and Mount Gallitzin Academy, as well as other schools in the Pittsburgh Area. In 1982, she married Charles Hessinger, long time friend, who respected her dedication to the Catholic faith, up until his death. In 2011, Jean moved back to Johnstown area to live with her niece, Laurie and Eric Lindrose. She enjoyed her daily prayer devotions, ETWN Television and Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. At the request of the family, private burial services will be held at their convenience. Interment Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements by Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc.
