Joann P. (Consalvo) Yuhas

YUHAS - Joann P., 79, Johnstown, passed away on July 4, 2022, at Quality of Life Services at Westmont Woods. Born September 21, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of Anthony and Mary (Penna) Consalvo.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 49 years, Ronald Yuhas; and sister, Verna Stevens.  Survived by daughters, Rhonda Civis (Robert); and Michelle Novak. Also survived by grandchildren, Nathan Civis (Gina) and Travis Civis (Rose); Gabriella DePaul (Charles Jr.) and Alexandra Novak.  A sister of Rose Williams and Linda Bulvin (John).  Joann was a lab assistant at the former Mercy Hospital, and former employee of Tony’s Subs.  She enjoyed playing with her pinochle club. She was an active member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she was Eucharist Minister, member of Christian Mother’s and active in numerous church activities. Joann prayed the rosary every night, always keeping her family in her prayers. She enjoyed dancing, cooking Italian food for her family, rooting for the Steelers and Penguins, and listening to music.  She was loved by all and would always bring a smile to everyone’s face.  Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, at the St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, the Rev. George Gulash. Committal will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.  Friends received Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.  The family would like to thank the staff of Westmont Woods for the kind and loving care they gave to Joann during her time there.
