John Boast

BOAST- John “Jack”, 76, of Johnstown died October 21, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born March 5, 1947, in Johnstown the son of Earl and Betty (Feather) Boast. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joseph Fallon; and sisters: Judith Lehman, Patty Boast, and Betty Kelly. Survived by his loving wife, Trudy (Berkebile) Boast; children: Kim, married to Nate Washington, Heather, married to Bill Oyler, and Kristen Fallon; grandchildren: Nate Washington, Jr., Chance Washington, Christopher Meier, William Oyler, Jack Fallon and Kaitlyn Fallon; and brother, Robert (Donna) Boast.  Jack recently adopted a dog, Jet, with his wife, Trudy.  He was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan, loved playing in his pool league, listening to Elvis and watching Gun Smoke.  Mostly, he was a very special man that was very close to his family and loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will take place at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
