John Andrew Devich

DEVICH – John Andrew, 87, formerly of Johnstown, passed away July 1, 2025. Born November 7, 1937, in Johnstown, the son of Samuel Devich and Catherine (Kavasnak) Paskett. Preceded in death by parents; and wife; Viola King. Survived by loving children, Renee Ferrante married to Matthew, Debra Walker married to William, John Devich Jr. married to Linda (Hull), and Michelle; grandchildren, Matthew Jr. (Katie) Ferrante, Sarah Ferrante, and Alyssa Ferrante, David Walker, Lisa Walker, John Devich, Kevin Devich, Jessica Lemmert, Adrienne Lemmert, Brian Lemmert; and 12 great-grandchildren. John worked as a Cranemen with Bethlehem Steel until his retirement. Following retirement, John began working at Richland Cemetery, where he took care of maintaining the grounds and drove school bus for Conemaugh Valley School District. John loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and camping with his family. John was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will truly be missed by many. A funeral mass will take place Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Rev. David S. Peles. Committal will follow at Richland Cemetery.
