John J. Fecko

FECKO - John J., 95, of Johnstown, passed away October 14, 2021. Born July 8, 1926, in Johnstown the son of Michael and Anna (Lukac) Fecko. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane (Gawel) Fecko; and son, James Fecko; brother, Michael, Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Balint.  Survived by his sons: John M. (Paula); Joseph (Nancy); and Jerry (Gail); grandchildren; Angela, Jeremy, Benjamin, Daniel, and James; 8 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cindy Fecko; brother, Richard (Karen); and sister, Joan Daloni. John was retired from the carpenter department of Bethlehem Steel Corp, he served from 1944 to 1946 in the US Army during WWII. Was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Catholic Church where he was a cantor and officer in the Holy Name Society. Member of Resurrection Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street.  Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
