John M. George

GEORGE- John M., 69, of Johnstown, died April 7, 2025, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born October 3, 1955, in New York, the son of Joseph P. and Alice C. (Milazzo) George, who preceded him in death. Survived by his loving wife, Janet O’Brien; children, Christine and Joseph; grandchildren, Daniel, Lennox, Summer, Carter, and Joseph Jr.; sisters, Karen and Alison; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was an avid train collector and enjoyed getting any chance he could to go fishing. John had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs Larry and Bandit. He served his country with the United States Airforce. John was also a member at Christ Lutheran Church. Friends will be received Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Rev. James West. Committal will follow at Richland Cemetery. Military Honors presented by the V.F.W. Post 155 Ritual Team.
