KUBACKA - John F. Jr., 78; Harmony House Manor, formerly of Johnstown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born September 6, 1944 in Johnstown, son of John F. Kubacka Sr. and Anna (Dzmura) Kubacka. Preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Deborah (Fisher) Kubacka and a nephew, Matthew John Kubacka. John is survived by sister, Joann, wife of Francis Daly of Johnstown; his brother, Joseph Kubacka of North Huntingdon, PA; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Kerri), Alexander (Kailea), Erin (Scott), Kayley and Nathan, Ryan (Renee), Liam and Kyla, Joseph Kubacka Jr. (Jessica), Christian, Carly and Logan, Abigail (Matthew-deceased) Anna and James. John attended the Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped for 28 years, (in Packaging Department for 22 years), retired on March 17, 2005. John enjoyed attending Camp PARC regularly as well as picnics, dinners and many other social events. His hobbies included books and magazines, collecting photos, watching games, cowboy and cooking shows on television. Lawrence Welk, Dean Martin and Jackie Gleason were some of his favorite celebrities. John was a good friend to all, sociable and always thankful for everything he received. He loved talking to everyone he met. Thank you to everyone who touched John’s life in any way with your kindness, you made his life enjoyable. Friends received on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Rev. John J. Slovikovski. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to Visitation B.V.M.
