John M. Delic

DELIC - John M., 68; of Southmont Borough, passed away on Monday evening January 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on January 20, 1956, in Johnstown, PA. The son of Joseph J. and Cecile (Babick) Delic (deceased 1982). Preceded in death by parents; Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sharon E. (Antonikas) Delic of Johnstown; and sons, Joseph Delic (Johanna Bezjak) of Pittsburgh, and Justin Delic (Lisa Miller) of Philadelphia; mother-in-law, Dorothy Antonikas of Johnstown; and sister, Dorothea Oldham of Windber. John graduated from Johnstown High School in 1973 and attended Duquesne University, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He was a member of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. John was employed by Conemaugh Hospital for 34 years during which time he earned Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certifications in both oncology and nutrition support. He was an avid learner and enjoyed rock and roll, guitar, and hockey. Most of all, John was a devoted husband and father, and his greatest passion included spending quality time with his wife and sons by coaching sports teams, attending concerts, and camping. The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for all the care and support they offered to John and his family. Friends will be received Friday, January 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. John was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, presided by the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly, V.F.
