John T Meyers "Lefty" " Jr"

MEYERS – John T. “Lefty” “Jr”, 91; Johnstown, passed away at home on July 7, 2023. Born September 3, 1931 in Johnstown, son of John S. and Mary (Kubinsky) Meyers. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Loretta A. Meyers (Frear); son-in-law, Robert Litzinger; brother, Frank Meyers; and sisters, Verna Wos, Marie Young, Ruth Brkovich, Eleanor Lizanec, and Joanne Powers. John was the last surviving member of his family. Survived by children, Roxanne Robine (James), Dianne Litzinger, John “Bart” Meyers (Tammy), Michael Meyers, Aaron Meyers (Shannon); and grandchildren, Jessica Laskowski (Chad), Anne Marie Byrd (Rick), Chris Litzinger (Jen), Alyshia and John Meyers, Mitchell and Maddy Meyers, Megan, Emily and Ethan Meyers; and four great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend; he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. John worked at Bethlehem Steel for 40 years. He enjoyed volunteering at Visitation Church, St. Vincent de Paul, Victim Services and as a baseball coach. He was a member of Visitation BVM Catholic Church, where Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the Rev. John J. Slovikovski. Committal will follow at Richland Mausoleum.  Friends received Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street.
