John A. Salat

SALAT - John A., 73; Johnstown, passed away November 1, 2019 at Conemaugh Hospital.  Born December 11, 1945 in Johnstown, son of Andrew J. and Mary C. (Benyacko) Salat.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by loving wife, of 47 years, Carole (Smith) Salat, Johnstown; and sons, John “Jeff” Salat and wife Misty, Pittsburgh; and Michael Salat and wife Brandy, Altoona.  A brother of Andrew Salat and wife Joy, North Carolina; Glenda Gladys wife of the late Carl Gladys and Robert J. Salat and wife Mary, both of Johnstown.  John has a large, very close and loving family which also includes; numerous grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews. John enjoyed organizing and playing card games with friends.  A proud U.S. Navy veteran. Retired owner and operator of Reliance Electronics.  Friends received Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc.
