John R. Stofa

STOFA – John R., 73, of Latrobe, died August 31, 2021, at The Grove at Latrobe. Born September 25, 1947, in Johnstown the son of Carl and Margaret (Ondrusko) Stofa. Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Thomas Moran. Survived by sisters: Christine Moran and Susan, wife of Philip Scott, all of Johnstown; nephews: Eric Moran and Ian Scott; and niece, Brandi Garbinski. John was the kindest and most loving person you could ever meet. He was the best brother and uncle ever and will be missed very much by his family.  The family would like to thank the staff at The Grove at Latrobe, especially Maryann, for the kind and loving care they gave to John during his time with them. There will be no visitation for John, however family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Parish, Fr. George M. Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. The family is being served by the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street.
