John Wayne Vargo

VARGO - John Wayne, 78; Johnstown; passed away July 13, 2018 at Windber Hospice.  Born July 11, 1940 in Johnstown, son of John Edward and Josephine (Janidlo) Vargo.  Preceded in death by parents; and wife, Jean Ann (Miller) Vargo.  Survived by loving daughter, Holly S. Vargo of Johnstown; brother, Alan P. “Fud” Vargo and wife Doris, Harrisburg; sisters, Elaine M. Vargo, Johnstown; Maxine E. Laslo and husband John P., State College; Donna M. Gorchesky and husband Daniel, Texas; sister-in-law, Georgia L. Miller; uncle and aunt, Raymond and Andrea Vargo; and special family friend, Harry Griffith all of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and relatives.  John was involved in the Automotive Industry for many years and worked at several Dealerships throughout the area. He was a sales associate for the Johnstown Home Depot in the pluming department.  A life member of the NRA. He was a member of Resurrection Parish, where Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. George M. Gulash.  Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
