Joseph M. Baretincic

Joseph M.  Baretincic, 93, of Ashburn, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 02, 2024.  Joseph was born on September 29, 1930  in Johnstown, PA to the late Joseph Baretincic and Anna Barna Baretincic.  He  was predeceased by his devoted wife Geraldine Halapia Baretincic and his younger sister Joanne Baretincic Mahoney. He leaves behind his loving family including his children Joseph Baretincic, Sharon Pappas, Annette Pizzimenti, Andrew Baretincic and Mary Cardinale, his grandchildren, Joseph Baretincic, Andrea Mrozinski,  Amelia Cardinale, Michael Pappas and six great grandchildren, Anna, Jackson, Clara, Clayton, Sophia and John.  Joseph, a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and retired LCDR of the United States Navy enjoyed laughing, singing and being with his family.  He will  be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Friends will be received on January 18, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, 710 Broad St in Johnstown, PA.  Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, 324 Chestnut Street, Johnstown, PA., Rev. Anthony F. Spilka FF OFM C.
