DeCOSKE – Joseph, 61, of Johnstown, died September 21, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born February 24, 1961, in Johnstown the son of James A. and Helen E. (Salinger) DeCoske. Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Mark Allen, and James. He is the brother of: Thomas, married to Elyse (Martin), Johnstown; Donna, wife of Robert Scarff, Johnstown; John, partner Greg Grove, Johnstown; and Christopher, married to Claudia (Stasko), Johnstown; sister-in-law, Rose Ann (Horner) DeCoske, Johnstown; nephew Eric DeCoske, Arlington, VA and his son Milo along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Joe worked at the Phoenix Tavern for over 30 years. Joe was known for his infectious laugh that made you smile every time you heard it. He was mostly known for his kind and compassionate spirit, always there to listen . If you where a family member don’t except good service. Joe would say they weren’t customers, they’re family they can wait. Joe was a great brother, uncle and friend to everyone. Joe will be sadly missed By his Family, his Phoenix family and huge family of friends. If you have a good Joey D story stop in the Phoenix we would love to hear it. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. where funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Franciscan Friars O.F.M Conv. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
