How can I possibly capture Joe’s essence in a few short words? A paragraph to sum up his gate, his confidence, pride and his larger than life personality.
Joe was blessed with great intelligence and charm. He had a BS, BA as well as a Master’s Degree. In business, he was much respected and had the honor of ringing the bell at the NYSE.
He sang with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. He taught me how to fly fish, so we spent many hours on the water together. In his younger years he was a top-rated tennis player. Trap and target shooting was his newest skill to master.
We danced and cooked and most of all loved deeply. He always dressed to impress and would never be seen looking less than his best.
Every day I will miss his smile, his laugh…him.
His Dad (Joseph C. Turturica) and Mother (Linda Kingera, Mains) have passed ahead. Left behind are Aunts, Uncles and cousins. But most of all me.
He had brothers but none of them by blood. He loved them all with the same passion, with his whole heart.
Joe was…did everything with his whole heart and we will grieve for him with our whole hearts.
Joe sat on the board for Hope for Kids. This charity works to build wells and supply water for villages in Africa. In lieu of flowers, a life-giving deep water well will be drilled in Uganda in Joe’s memory. For any financial gifts please visit https://support.h4ki.org/joeswell
