YEAGER – Joseph; 92, of Johnstown, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2026. Born June 13, 1934, in New York, the son of Joseph Sr. and Frances (Ban) Yeager. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Michael and Albert Yeager. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Garb) Yeager. He was a good husband and father to his 3 daughters and an amazing grandfather to all his grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by daughters, Lisa Currie, Terri (Mark) Stumpo, and Melissa (Ken) Burkardt; his 9 grandchildren, Joseph Eichelberger, Tara Eichelberger, James Currie, Anthony Stumpo, Nicholas Stumpo, twins Angela and Emily Stumpo, Elizabeth (Devon) Mountain, and Evan Burkardt; 3 great-grandchildren, Blake (Sunny) Lloyd, Gage Lloyd, and Millie Mountain; 1 great great-grandchild August Lloyd; and sister-in-law, Kay Yeager. Joseph served 4 years in the United States Navy on the USS Iowa from 1955 to 1959. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel for 10 years and retired from Prudential Insurance Company as an agent. He was a member of the Greater Johnstown School Board for 10 years. In Joe’s spare time, he enjoyed collecting antiques and going to yard sales. Joseph was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be held. Friends will be received Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rev. Bernard Karmonocky O.F.M. Private interment will follow. Joe will be remembered most of all for his love of his family. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in memory of Joseph to St. Therese Church Building Fund. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Forest Hills Personal Care Home and Conemaugh Hospice for their care and love.
