Julia Antonazzo Obituary

ANTONAZZO – Julia A., 95, born January 7, 1927, died September 12, 2022.  Daughter of John and Mary (Bazan) Czyrnik. Last surviving member of her immediate family. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Anthony N. Antonazzo; grandson, Anthony M. Antonazzo; brothers: Edward, Francis, Stanley and Walter; and sisters: Agnes Szostek; Anna, and Phyllis. She is survived by her son: Joseph J. Antonazzo (Mary Jane); and daughter, Marie A. Mock (Bryan); grandchildren: Monica, Stephanie, James, Cory and Daniel; and great-grandchildren: Tyler, Leah, Chelsea, Lana and Brody. Julia was extremely proud of her family and her Polish heritage.  She loved translating letters for those that had family in Poland. She was a former member of the Polish Heritage Choir.  She loved attending all the local festivals and dancing the Polkas.  If you visited her house on Saturday or Sunday morning, you were coaxed into dancing the Polka in the kitchen with her. Her other enjoyments were baking traditional cookies, nut rolls and homemade bread, in addition to other tasty treats and meals from her kitchen, crocheting afghans for just about everyone, gardening and enjoying summertime back porch conversations with her wonderful neighbors.  She will be greatly missed…..life well lived Mom, Gramma and Bubba.   Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 120 Barron Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15906, Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff of Villa Personal Care and Interim Hospice for the kind and loving care they gave to Julia. In lieu of flowers, please kindly contribute to the Carmelite Nuns, Carmelite Monastery P.O. Box 57, Loretto, PA 15940; or Mariannhill Missionaries at Marriannhill Fathers, P.O.
