Kenneth J. Parks, Sr.

PARKS – Kenneth J., Sr., 74, of Johnstown, died April 21, 2023, at his home. Born December 2, 1948, in Johnstown the son of Henry and Alice (Malee) Parks. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Parks; and sisters, Pat Thomas; and Joanne Walls. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Anne (Yurasek) Parks; son, Kenneth, J., Jr., married to Christine (Smith) Parks; grandchildren: Dr. Ashley Swartz and Kenneth J. Parks, III; great-grandchildren: Cecil, Eisley, Emeric, Nola, Eeris, and Alice; and sisters, Theresa Nugent and Louise Dadura. Ken was a member of Resurrection Parish and retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and neighbors who helped with Ken’s care.  Friends will be received Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Franciscan Friars, OFM Conv. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
