Larry Kimmel

KIMMEL – Larry, 68, of Johnstown, died April 20, 2024, at home. Born March 12, 1956, in Johnstown the son of Irvin and Marion (Wilson) Kimmel. Preceded in death by his parents; in-laws: Robert and Sara (Harvey) Varner; son, Joshua Kimmel; stepdaughter, Sherry Stephens; daughter-in-law, Amanda Kimmel; and brother, Gary Kimmel. Survived by his wife, Sally (Varner) Kimmel; sons: Ryan, married to Jamie (Wagner) Kimmel; Justin, married to Jessica (Kocsis) Kimmel; stepson, John Stephens; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Also survived by his sister, Sylvia Kimmel; brother, Dennis, married to Catherine (Lavely) Kimmel; sister-in-law, Kathleen Kimmel; numerous nieces and nephews, and his fur-baby, Butterbean. Larry was a member of the Slovak Band Hall.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football with his sons, going to Rocky Gap to gamble, traveling, antique cars and riding motorcycles. Most of all Larry will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who loved his family very much.  A celebration of life will be held for Larry at a later date.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Crichton Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Jennifer Silvis for the loving care they provided to Larry.
