STERNER - Leon W. “Lee”, 89; of Johnstown, PA and Orlando, FL; passed away on August 31, 2023. Born May 26, 1934 in Jerome, PA son of Oscar and Evalene (Weimer) Sterner. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Donald, Dean and Paul Sterner. Survived by loving wife, Beverly “Bev” (Kessler) Sterner of Johnstown; children, Steven Sterner (Elizabeth) of Florida; Kenneth Sterner, of Montana; Cheryl Wardle (William), of Pennsylvania; Addie King (Dustin) of Utah; and Darlene Sterner, of California; and grandson, Sebastian King. A brother of Zola Borosky, Gary Sterner and Lois Bogardus. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Lee was an United States Army veteran. He was a retired accountant for the Bethlehem Mines Division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. An avid golfer and secretary for the “Duffers League” at Windber Country Club. A member of Resurrection Parish, where funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will take place at Grandview Mausoleum. Friends received Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Donations may be made to Resurrection Parish in memory of Lee Sterner.
