NEMETZ - Leona, 97; Johnstown, passed away on April 16, 2021 at Conemaugh Hospital. Born September 7, 1923 in Johnstown, daughter of Julius and Philomena (Kausse) Pitman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John Nemetz Jr.; and siblings, Florence Updyke, Bertha Lucas, Margaret Pitman, Ralph Pitman, Eleanor Harpchak and Betty Langham. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Survived by loving daughters, Patricia L. married to Sam Genovese, Boca Raton, FL; and Donna J. Palko and significant other, John Campagna, Johnstown. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. Leona loved to travel. She was a Democratic Committee Member and poll worker in Woodvale. Private Services will be held by the family. Committal Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements by Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Leona Nemetz. Condolences may be sent at fgozogfuneralhome.com
